A touch of black
When Mom comes to town we often go shopping together. The first store we checked out was the shoe store and I found these little gems. Just a simple basic pair of black shoes that look nice dressed up or down. I do love versatility in shoes.
Our next terrific find was this purse. Being prior military has taught me to travel light and my purse is no exception. So when this little beauty was found I knew I had to have it. One side holds all the basic but necessary items. Drivers License, cell phone, plastic money and on the rare occasion real money! But the other side of this purse is a nice large compartment which I discovered is perfect for holding a sock in progress.
Did you notice the sock needles at the top of the bag? They actually fit in this bag with plenty of room to spare but I had to tease you just a bit. Want to see whats on the needles?
My mom asked for a basic pair of black anklet socks, so I happily obliged her request.
Now all I need is this Needle Case from Knit Picks to tuck into my fabby new purse. Good knitting purses are hard to find so I'm going buy another one today:D

I didnt know you were prior military! So am I! I need a "knitting purse" too. I use my usual purse and the needles and yarn stick out.
Love the anklets! What type of yarn do you suggest for a man who likes to wear his socks 2xs in a row? Or do you suggest a good slap in the head? LOL JK!

Too funny! My mom and I always shop together too. I've heard great things about those needles and have already planted the seed in my husband's ear for Christmas!!
Are those 6 or 7 inch needles? Just curious ;)

Now now, where are the socks meant for you?! Incidentally, I'm building plans for your first parcel :D I have so many ideas that I can't decide which to do when :D Yay! Sock knitting is goooooood...
